1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and company name. Payment information is processed by Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers.

Node Connection Data

When you connect a server, we store: hostname, WireGuard public key, assigned tunnel IP, and Proxmox/libvirt API credentials (encrypted). We use these solely to manage VMs on your behalf.

Usage Data

We collect VM metadata (hostname, IP, resource allocation, status) and node resource metrics (CPU, RAM, disk usage) for the dashboard and monitoring features.

Log Data

We log API requests (IP address, endpoint, timestamp) for security and debugging. Logs are retained for 30 days.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide and operate the Service
• Process payments via Stripe
• Send transactional emails (welcome, VM provisioned, invoices, password reset)
• Monitor service health and prevent abuse
• Improve the Service

3. What We Don't Do

• We do not sell your data to third parties
• We do not access the content inside your VMs
• We do not send marketing emails without consent
• We do not use your data for advertising

4. Data Sharing

We share data only with:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Amazon SES — transactional email delivery
• Law enforcement — only when legally required

5. Data Security

All connections between HostPVE and your servers use encrypted WireGuard tunnels. The web interface is served over HTTPS. API credentials are stored encrypted. We follow industry-standard security practices.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, we remove your data within 30 days. Backups may retain data for up to 90 days.

7. Your Rights

You may:

• Access your data via the dashboard and API
• Update your information in account settings
• Export your data (contact support)
• Delete your account (contact support)

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies only: session authentication (JWT token). No tracking cookies, no third-party analytics cookies.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
